Police Detain Seven Students Accused of Ragging Junior at PSG College of Technology in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu

Seven students from PSG College of Technology in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, have been apprehended by the police for their involvement in the alleged ragging and head-shaving of a junior student from the same institution, authorities reported.

The victim, a first-year student, was subjected to the incident by seven second-year students. The police disclosed that the accused individuals were not only engaged in ragging but also demanded money from the victim, purportedly for purchasing liquor.

Law enforcement officials have filed a First Information Report (FIR) against the seven accused students, and they are slated to appear in court as part of legal proceedings.

Simultaneously, the college administration has taken action by suspending all seven students involved in the incident, signaling a commitment to maintaining a safe and respectful environment within the educational institution.
